This page illustrates the building process of the SEEFI home.   Although 5000 square feet may be larger than your project, the process to Build Green would be much the same.   The house is 4000 square feet and the garage is an additional 1000 square feet.  The garage also uses in-floor heat.

This particular model uses an on-demand hot water heater (in-floor and domestic), heat pump, and energy star appliances.  It also utilizes off-peak, energy efficient devices such as air conditioning.  The home maintains an average temperature of 75 degrees.
